Continuing with the rules and methodologies, I will interview six people in order to better understand their cellphone usage for 14 days by asking each person the same questions about the strengths, weaknesses, and the convenience about each popular cellphone. Here are some questions that I am interesting in asking the users:
- What phone do you have?
- Why did u choose this phone?
- What are its strengths?
- What are its weaknesses?
- Are you satisfied when you are using this phone?
- Did you have any obstacles/problems with this phone?
- If you have another chance, would you take this phone again or buy another one?
- Do you think your cellphone is addictive?

Today, I walked around my apartment and keep thinking about my 14 days project. Suddenly, I saw one of my neighbors was playing with an Iphone 4. I came up with the idea of interviewing him and his Iphone 4 for my first post since Iphone 4 is one of the most popular types of Apple cellphones, and it has a high demand of selling nowadays. He’s a Vietnamese guy named Henry Pham who owns an adorable phone, and here are his answers during my first interview.
1. What phone do you have?
I have a brand new Iphone 4 that I just got about a week ago, which it now has a pretty high demand.
2. Why did u choose this phone?
I chose Iphone 4 because of several reasons. First is because it really is an attractive phone, and it is the latest generation of apple Iphones. Second, Iphone 4 is intelligent. It owns bunches of brilliant softwares that makes me love it. In addition, since so many people love this new phone, I feel good when I am holding it.
3. What are its strengths?
I can use multi-tasks at the same time. Also, I can download as many applications as I desire, and the only limitation that I have is how much the phone can contain. The long lasting battery is another element that makes me like the phone. Moreover, I also feel like it’s really convenient for those who love texting messages because of its sensitive touch screen even though I am not one of them. Furthermore, Iphone 4 has even more functions and features than the first three generations. It is like a mini computer to me, and sometimes I use it instead of my laptop. It also has a feature called Facetime, which I can use as a webcam. Last but not least, I can use it everywhere or anytime to browsing webs because of the data that I must have in order to has an Iphone.
4. What are its weaknesses?
I have to pay for data for at least 15 dollars per month. However, the network is sometimes slow. Also, I experienced some drop calls.
5. Are you satisfied when you are using the phone?
Although there are some small weaknesses, I still really enjoy using it.
6. Did you have any obstacles/problems with this phone?
Yes, I did have some problems with using this phone on the first days, but they were fixable. Now, I am getting used to it and have no problems with it but fun and enjoyable.
7. If you have another chance, would you take this phone again or buy another ones?
I love this phone, and I feel very satisfied when using it.
8. Do you think your cellphone is addictive?
I think Iphone 4 is additive not only to me but to many other people. I just bought it a week ago, but I was always playing with it. I just want to download applications, games, and softwares and plays around with it. Sometimes, I leave other things that I should do aside and browse around with my Iphone.

Today I interview one of my ex-coworkers who I used to work with at Tapioca Express in Sunnyvale, and her name is Ai Yuan. She lost her Samsung Omnia Pro cellphone in her Art class and she reported to AT&T. She purposely chooses the Samsung Eternity II since Samsung is her favorite, and it is free. She told me about this situation, and I suddenly thought about interviewing her.
1. What phone do you have?
I have a Samsung Eternity II in blue color.
2. Why did u choose this phone?
I chose this phone because it was free and I decided to use it temporarily and change another one when I have the chance. Plus, it works just fine as other free cellphones.
3. What are its strengths?
It looks very girly, small, thin, light weight, and very neat. Also, it has AT&T Mobile TV support that allows users to enjoy live or time-shifted TV content for some monthly payment. In addition, it has an expandable memory card slot.
4. What are its weaknesses?
The touch screen feature is not very sensitive to touch and I usually get pissed because of this problem. Each time I am texting, the unresponsiveness of this phone makes me really don’t want to text anymore. Moreover it’s loading very slow. Also, it has only 2 megapixel built-in camera.

No, I am not satisfied when I am using this cellphone because it has very few features and options for users to choose or play around.

Yes, I experience a lot of problems when using this Samsung. It’s not a sensitive touching cellphone following the bad texting feature, not even good at taking pictures, and very slow.
7. If you have another chance, would you take this phone again or buy another ones?
If there is another chance, I will get another one instead of this phone.
8. Do you think your cellphone is addictive?
No, I don’t think my cellphone is addictive because it doesn’t have any game applications at all or any entertainments.
Conclusion:
Throughout the experiment, I had several conversations with the popular cellphones users, and I had learned a lot. My goal was to better acknowledged about each of the six cellphones that I did the interview, from the features to the strengths and weaknesses of each kind by asking questions each person with a different cellphone
Above are the interviewing results about different brands of cellphones that I have been doing for 14 days. Because the world is moving so fast, so is the technology. People get their cellphones that meet their wants superior than their needs, expensive cellphones, their excellent features, and their beautiful bodies are the main points that most users look at a phone. Therefore, I chose to do the most popular cellphone brands in the market including Apple, Nokia, Blackberry, Sony Ericsson, HTC, and Samsung. The first one that I happened to interview was the most popular, reliable, and favorite cellphone nowadays which was the Iphone 4. Following was the Nokia brand, another popular cellphone brand, and I picked the Nokia N95. Next was the Blackberry Bold 9870, another expensive cellphone that people like, following with a Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905, a HTC HD2, and a Samsung Eternity II.
Each phone has its own reason that makes people chose it. For example, younger people choose expensive/luxury and more options phones such as an Iphone 4. It has a very high demand and good feedback from the users, which includes a lot of new features that people desire and meet their wants. It is a mini laptop that people can use instead of a laptop, they can browsing web wherever they want because of the data that every users must have. However, elderly people like phones more simple which meet their needs. Moreover, people love music, they get the phones that focus more on music feature such as Nokia N95 is called a music phone. It has a lot of features that attract people except the touch screen option. On the other hand, HTC HD2 is a movie cellphone where we can download movies quickly and watch movies with a large screen and best quality. In addition, the users can upgrade the gram so that the phone can run faster. With the Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905, an excellent camera phone that carries a 9.0 megapixel. It has the ability to save the location of the picture where we take it. It’s best for the people that like to travel. About the blackberry, it is the phone for business people since it’s very fast specially on setting day and time for meeting or appointment, and for searching web and checking mail. Last but not least, Samsung is another popular brand, and I happened to interview the Samsung Eternity II. Even though it’s not a popular or expensive phone, it has all the needs and very cheap phone including the touch screen feature. Besides these strengths, each phone also has their own weaknesses whether the service of the phone or the clearness of images come out, etc. Throughout my interviewing, Iphone 4 is the cellphone that has fewer weaknesses and loved my a lot of people at any ages.
